MISSION STATEMENT: It is the mission of this web site to give a brief, but informative insight into Nevada's historical past. In doing so, I hope it can be of use to anyone studying the history of Nevada, or to anyone just plain curious. I encourage those interested in history to visit any of the hundreds of historical places, ghost towns, (tourist ready) towns and get a first hand view of what it might have been like way back then. I do however - discourage treasure hunters. This can be a very destructive hobby. If anyone has the opportunity to visit any of the ghost towns or old mining camps - take only photographs and please, leave only foot prints.

DISCLAIMER: I have done my very best to get all the facts in this site as true and correct as I possibly could. I have come across several discrepancies, mostly minor points, but a few which could add to one's confusion when trying to understand Nevada's past. I have tried to make note to as many of these differences as possible, but otherwise I have omitted them from the site.
